Task & Processes Components Architect – Brussels

About the role

We are looking for a Task and Processes components Architect to join our team near‑site in Brussels. You will work on the Compass Corporate suite, enhancing task and process management components and delivering new features for a legacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve Compass Corporate task and process components.
• Implement software enhancements, performance improvements and corrective maintenance.
• Develop new business functionality according to specifications and integrate it with existing systems.
• Investigate production incidents and provide sustainable fixes.
• Refactor legacy code, reduce technical debt and modernise the stack.
• Optimise application response times and resource utilisation.
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Support deployment preparation, production integration and PI planning activities.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular with modern concepts such as Signals).
• Solid experience with backend Java development (Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Axon) and legacy JEE platforms (WebLogic, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS, EJB, JMS).
• Familiarity with API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, API gateways and cloud services (AWS).
• Good understanding of security protocols (OpenID Connect, JWT, client‑server certificates).
• Fluent English (C1 level) and ability to work on‑site in Brussels.
