Strategic Consultant – Space Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Management Consultant with a strong interest in geospatial and space‑based data to support projects that address security, defence, emergency management and environmental monitoring challenges. The role combines strategic analysis, client communication and business development within the fast‑growing Earth Observation sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop use‑case studies that showcase the value of geospatial and space‑based capabilities across security, disaster risk reduction and sustainability domains.
• Analyse EU environmental legislation and policies to provide inputs for technical studies.
• Manage programmes and projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client objectives.
• Design and deliver client‑facing reports, presentations and communication plans.
• Coordinate stakeholder workshops, user networks and outreach initiatives.
• Conduct user requirement analyses and support satellite system, data infrastructure and space‑capability assessments.
• Identify new business opportunities and lead proposal preparation and submission.

Required profile

• STEM or Business degree (relevant experience in Earth Observation, security or defence is a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of management‑consulting experience, preferably in space, aerospace, high‑tech or public‑sector environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, writing and presentation abilities.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluent English; additional European languages (Italian, Spanish) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for short on‑site missions.
