Statistical Programmer (Consultant) – Waterloo, Belgium

About the role

Alsinova is seeking experienced Statistical Programmer consultants to support pharmaceutical and biotech clients in Belgium. You will work on a variety of projects, from small biotech to large pharma, providing statistical expertise and automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design experiments, analyse data and prepare reports or presentations for internal teams, clients and regulatory authorities.
• Provide statistical consultancy on method robustness, process comparability, validation, specification determination, and process optimisation.
• Develop and maintain automated analysis pipelines using Rmarkdown, RShiny and other tools.
• Create training materials and deliver training sessions to end‑users.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects across bioassays, analytical chemistry, process chemistry and packaging.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics (or Mathematics); PhD is a plus.
• 2‑4 years of experience as a statistician in pharmaceutical product development.
• Strong knowledge of multivariate analysis, experimental design and statistical process control.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills, customer‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in R, RShiny, R Markdown.
• Experience with SAS (Base, STAT) and JMP.
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
• Knowledge of Python and functional programming is a plus.
