Staff Software Engineer – Full-Stack & AI Leader

About the role

Moody's is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud‑native full‑stack solutions that power critical financial decision‑making platforms. You will own end‑to‑end development, from architecture to production monitoring, while driving AI‑enabled innovation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement serverless, event‑driven applications on AWS that handle high‑volume, mission‑critical workloads.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality, maintainable code through testing and code reviews.
• Influence engineering standards and architectural decisions across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead AI initiatives, managing risks and promoting responsible AI adoption.

Required profile

• 7+ years of production‑grade software development experience in a full‑stack environment.
• Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and deliver cloud‑native solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with experience influencing technical direction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
