Staff Assistant – Cyber Security & CIS Security Accreditation

About the role

SHAPE is seeking a motivated Staff Assistant to support NATO’s CIS Security Accreditation programme. The role focuses on safeguarding systems and projects linked to the Digital Backbone and broader technology transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the security accreditation of CIS projects and systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Assist with CIS security audits, inspections, and improvements to meet NATO security requirements.
• Liaise with NATO CIS Operational Authorities on accreditation and cyber‑risk management matters.
• Contribute to information‑assurance risk assessments, vulnerability reporting, and system test evaluations.

Required profile

• Experience in information security.
• Experience assessing network security tools, firewalls, internet security, real‑time systems, application design, or asset management.
• Relevant university degree plus at least 1 year of related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training plus at least 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in English (SPL 3333).
