Software Engineer (Remote, Belgium)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑impact backend services for secure, scalable digital financial solutions. The role is fully remote and based in Belgium, working within an international engineering team that focuses on finance, blockchain and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high‑quality backend services and applications.
• Own software components from architecture through production monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build secure, fault‑tolerant and scalable solutions for large user bases.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams and business stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, including microservices, cloud‑native and distributed systems.
• Apply modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing and continuous delivery.
• Utilise Event‑Driven Architecture and Domain‑Driven Design to create maintainable systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Experience with backend development and building reliable systems.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and working in a remote, collaborative environment.
