Software Developer & Test Engineer

About the role

Join HMS's agile team working on a cutting‑edge Cloud Platform for industrial communication. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing both backend services and user‑facing features, ensuring high quality and reliability across the full stack.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust backend APIs and services using Java and the Spring framework.
• Create responsive user interfaces with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive test suite (unit, integration, functional) using Robot Framework.
• Write and execute manual and automated tests to validate feature quality.
• Collaborate with UI designers, product owners and developers to define and deliver new functionalities.
• Participate in code and test reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
• Manage source code and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Debug and troubleshoot applications across the full stack and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong focus on quality and testing.
• Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Java development with Spring framework.
• Test automation using Robot Framework.
• Frontend development with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Version control with Git and GitLab.
• Design and consumption of RESTful APIs.
• SQL and relational database interaction.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other messaging queues (optional).
• Basic Linux system administration and scripting (Python, Bash) (optional).
• Understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment concepts (optional).
• Knowledge of web security principles and additional testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma (optional).
