Software Developer

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Software Developer to join its team supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The role focuses on the development, update, and maintenance of NIRIS software modules and Java components that underpin critical NATO communication and information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain NIRIS software modules according to agreed requirements and project plans.
• Design and implement Java software components to sustain and evolve the NIRIS software baseline.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure technical direction aligns with NATO security and operational standards.
• Support the full software lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and deployment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software development, preferably within defence or aerospace environments.
• Ability to work with technical specifications and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
