Six PhD vacancies in Work and Organisation Studies

About the role

KU Leuven’s Work and Organisation Studies (WOS) department is seeking up to six PhD candidates to join its interdisciplinary research team. The positions cover a range of topics including violence against police, telecommuting, strategic HRM, burnout and identity, and HRM recruitment and mental wellbeing. Successful applicants will conduct original research, contribute to academic publications and collaborate with scholars from economics, sociology, psychology, management and history.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute research projects within the assigned thematic area.
• Perform literature reviews, data collection and analysis.
• Write and submit scientific articles to peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present findings at conferences and departmental seminars.
• Collaborate with faculty members and fellow PhD candidates.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as economics, sociology, psychology, management or history.
• Strong interest in the specific research topics listed.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
