Site Reliability Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Site Reliability Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for operating and maintaining mission‑critical applications. The role can be performed 50% onsite in Belgium or fully remote within the EU, with occasional travel to our Brussels office.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and improve the availability, scalability and performance of critical services.
• Deploy and automate applications using cloud‑native technologies on Azure and on‑prem environments.
• Implement observability, instrumentation and ML techniques to predict and avoid incidents.
• Detect, analyse and resolve faults, and design solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with security experts, architects and developers to build a sustainable technical landscape.
• Research new tools and technologies, providing recommendations and expertise.
