SHE Manager – Safety, Health & Environment Leader

About the role

Cabot Corporation is seeking a senior SHE Manager to lead safety, health and environmental initiatives across its Belgian sites. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on responsibility for protecting people, assets and the environment while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Embed SHE as a strategic pillar in long‑range and continuous improvement plans.
• Define and execute annual SHE priorities aligned with global and regional standards.
• Provide visible SHE leadership at the Loncin and Pepinster sites, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Represent Cabot Belgium with authorities, auditors and external stakeholders.
• Lead SHE performance management, audits, inspections and corrective‑action closure.
• Manage SHE OPEX/CAPEX budgets with risk‑based governance.
• Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and best‑practice deployment.
• Oversee environmental performance, decarbonisation and footprint reduction initiatives.
• Own high‑risk work systems (PTW, LOTO, MOC, PSSR) and process‑safety governance.
• Ensure robust incident management, industrial hygiene, occupational health and PPE strategies.
• Maintain emergency preparedness, business continuity and site security.
• Develop and deliver SHE training for employees and contractors.
• Lead and develop the SHE team.

Required profile

• Executive‑level leader with multi‑site responsibility for safety, health and environment.
• Legal duties of Prevention Advisor Level 1 (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to embed safety as a non‑negotiable cultural discipline.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing OPEX/CAPEX and driving operational excellence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Responsible Care® Management System (RC14001).
• Experience with high‑risk work systems such as PTW, LOTO, MOC and PSSR.
• Competence in incident management, industrial hygiene and occupational health.
