Senior Project Manager – CS&A & Building Projects

About the role

Group IPS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex building projects in Mechelen, Belgium. The role involves managing the full project lifecycle for assets valued around €35 million, acting as the primary client interface and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering civil, structural, architectural, MEP, EHS, procurement, cost control, contract management, planning and construction.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, risks, safety and stakeholder expectations from feasibility to close‑out.
• Develop and maintain core project documents such as the Project Execution Plan, risk register, procurement strategy and reporting dashboards.
• Coordinate design disciplines, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure constructability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Support procurement activities, including package definition, technical RFQs, bid reviews, negotiation support and post‑order follow‑up.
• Monitor contractor performance, milestones, progress, change orders, quality, safety and commissioning readiness.
• Lead internal, client and steering committee meetings, and prepare meeting minutes and decision logs.
• Identify project risks early, define mitigation plans and escalate critical issues with clear options.

Required profile

• Senior civil engineer, architect or building engineer with experience beyond technical design.
• Proven ability to take ownership of complex projects and drive them to successful delivery.
• Strong technical judgment in civil, structural, architectural and utilities (CS&A) domains.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
