Senior Principal Scientist / Director – Endometriosis (Disease Biology)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced scientific leader to head our Endometriosis disease biology program. The Senior Principal Scientist / Director will guide a team of scientists, shape strategy, and drive drug discovery projects from target validation to pre‑clinical candidate nomination.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the endometriosis biology strategy aligned with portfolio priorities.
• Partner closely with the Head of Disease Biology to shape overall research direction and pipeline.
• Lead and progress drug discovery programs to preclinical candidate nomination.
• Drive fit‑for‑purpose biology to enable fast, robust go/no‑go decisions on novel targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of scientists, fostering a hands‑on, accountable culture.
• Leverage CROs and academic collaborations to accelerate innovation.
• Contribute to scientific evaluation of business‑development opportunities and support external publications and presentations.

Required profile

• PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
• 10–15+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical R&D, with a proven track record in drug discovery and target validation.
• Demonstrated leadership of scientific teams and successful progression of programs toward clinical stage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to senior management.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
