Senior Manager / Director – Strategy & Operations, Supply Chain (Pharma & Life Sciences)

About the role

PwC is seeking a senior leader to drive strategy and operations for supply chain planning, manufacturing, and distribution within the pharma and life‑sciences sector. You will work closely with clients to diagnose challenges, design improvement programs, and embed best‑in‑class processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supply‑chain projects covering planning, manufacturing, logistics and distribution for pharma and life‑science clients.
• Analyse issues, apply benchmarks and thought leadership to define and implement process and organisational improvements.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, contributing to commercial growth through follow‑up and new projects.
• Collaborate with PwC’s international Pharma & Life Sciences community.
• Manage, develop, mentor and assess the performance of project teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, engineering, business administration, sciences or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of supply‑chain experience in healthcare or life‑science industries.
• Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff and create a long‑term vision.
• Strong people‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with digital applications such as MES, LIMS, ELN or data platforms.
• Knowledge of IT/OT and IT systems architecture in a pharma environment.
• Familiarity with GMP and validation processes for digital solutions.
• Background in continuous improvement or operational excellence methodologies.
