Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our ethical banking group. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit Banking (UK based), you will work closely with an international team to strengthen internal controls and risk management across Triodos Bank Belgium and the wider Triodos Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in audit assignments in Belgium and across the Triodos Group, with limited travel as needed.
• Maintain close relationships with business partners to stay informed of organisational risk developments.
• Prepare high‑quality audit reports and support management in defining corrective actions.
• Contribute to the annual risk assessment and plan audits for the upcoming year and three‑year cycle.
• Provide management information and ensure audit processes meet professional practice standards.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert in risk or digital areas such as data analytics and AI.
• Coach and supervise junior auditors, providing feedback for their development.
• Represent the Internal Audit function externally through networking and speaking engagements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in internal audit, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements and supervise junior team members.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business partners and senior management.
