Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Gaming1, a leading international operator of land‑based and online games of chance, is expanding its finance function. The Senior Financial Controller will own the end‑to‑end group consolidation and reporting process, drive automation initiatives and provide deep financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the production of group consolidation under IFRS and BE‑GAAP, including scope validation, inter‑company reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
• Prepare and continuously improve the group reporting package (balance sheet, cash‑flow statement, profit & loss, net debt and key performance indicators).
• Oversee the preparation of annual consolidated financial statements, ensuring audit readiness and compliance.
• Enhance closing and reporting efficiency by reducing lead times, structuring documentation and leveraging automation and AI tools.
• Deliver in‑depth financial analyses to support acquisitions, expansion projects and subsidiary performance monitoring.
• Coach and develop a medior finance controller, contributing to cross‑functional finance transformation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in group finance environments with strong consolidation and reporting expertise.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS (including PPA, financial instruments, leases) and exposure to audited financial statements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of ownership and autonomy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Sharp critical thinking and ability to challenge assumptions.
