Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join our fast‑growing international organisation in Ghent. In this position you will act as a strategic financial partner, turning data into actionable insights that guide business decisions across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end closing, management reporting and performance analysis for several entities.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning cycles.
• Partner with operations, sales and senior management to provide financial insight and support strategic initiatives.
• Improve and optimise financial processes, systems and internal controls.
• Support ad‑hoc business cases, investments and ERP/reporting automation projects.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in controlling, audit or FP&A.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Proactive, hands‑on and business‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Audit coordination and compliance.
