Senior DevOps Engineer – Remote (Belgium)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the tooling and automation that underpins our software development and delivery lifecycle. The role is fully remote within Belgium and works closely with Architecture, Development, Security, Managed Services, and Services teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gradle and related technologies.
• Enhance build reliability, pipeline performance, test automation integration and release automation.
• Troubleshoot complex build, deployment and environment issues and standardise pipeline patterns across teams.
• Support Kubernetes‑based deployment and runtime environments, including Docker containerisation.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration‑as‑code automation, promoting GitOps and declarative deployment models.
• Integrate security controls such as vulnerability scanning, container image scanning, secrets management and policy enforcement into pipelines.
• Improve observability through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerting, and translate operational feedback into automation improvements.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to boost DevOps productivity and documentation where appropriate.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with end‑to‑end DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to own technical topics, guide less experienced engineers and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Strong focus on security, reliability and scalability of cloud‑native systems.
