Senior Cyber Security Engineer – CIS Accreditation

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in securing its information systems. The role focuses on edge security, risk assessment, and accreditation of NATO‑managed CIS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security accreditation support for NISC‑managed CIS, focusing on edge security across internal and customer‑funded networks.
• Conduct security risk assessments, identify threats and vulnerabilities, and deliver risk management recommendations.
• Develop and maintain accreditation documentation such as Security Accreditation Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, and Test & Verification Plans.
• Witness security testing, coordinate remediation activities, and work with technical leads to resolve vulnerabilities.
• Prepare for and support external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with NATO CIS security policies.

Required profile

• Comprehensive knowledge of security risk assessment and accreditation processes.
• Strong understanding of computer and communication security principles, networking, edge security, and modern OS/application vulnerabilities.
• Experience implementing CIS security protective measures in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with common IT security frameworks and governance models.
• Understanding of CIS security policies within a NATO or NATO‑member nation context.
