Senior Consultant – Strategy & Transformation (Financial Sector)

About the role

BDO is seeking a Senior Consultant to support financial institutions in their transformation journeys. You will work closely with clients in banking, insurance and related services to analyse processes, identify improvement opportunities and design solutions that align with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist financial institutions in adapting to market changes across operations, customer services and finance transformation.
• Conduct detailed business‑process analyses and propose actionable improvement plans.
• Facilitate workshops with subject‑matter experts to gather requirements and define assumptions.
• Coordinate activities across multiple project teams and support project/program managers.
• Deliver context‑driven initiatives in areas such as daily banking, lending, investment, and life/non‑life insurance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of consulting experience or experience in the financial sector.
• Native‑level proficiency in Dutch and French, with strong business English.
• Proactive, eager to learn and capable of working autonomously while being a strong team player.
• Ability to identify and engage relevant stakeholders.

Required skills

• PMI or Prince2 methodology knowledge.
• Lean, Agile (SAFe, Scrum) practices.
• ADKAR/Prosci change‑management experience.
• ITIL framework familiarity.
• Analytics tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
