Senior Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor will lead safety and compliance efforts across multiple construction projects, primarily within the pharmaceutical sector. You will act as the main point of contact for safety investigations, toolbox meetings, and coordination with project teams to ensure safe and efficient site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
• Organise and conduct toolbox meetings for contractors.
• Collaborate with project leaders and other supervisors to approve constructability plans and manage site setup.
• Perform preparatory risk analyses for high‑risk tasks.
• Review safety documents such as method statements and hoisting plans submitted by contractors.
• Conduct daily safety walk‑throughs and report findings to the project team.
• Ensure proper site signage, toolbox training, and permit reviews.
• Follow up on contractor management systems, including NineID.

Required profile

• Level II Prevention Advisor certification.
• Mandatory experience in laboratory construction.
• Essential VCA‑vol training.
• Advanced knowledge of VG documents (CIAW, RIAA, Limosa, Dimona, A1) and related permits.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work with diverse disciplines and navigate language barriers.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Highly organised, accurate, able to manage time pressure and promptly escalate issues.

Required skills

• VCA‑vol safety training.
• Proficiency with NineID contractor management system.
• Expertise in handling VG documents (CIAW, RIAA, Limosa, Dimona, A1).
• Experience with temporary mobile construction sites (TMB) and related safety documentation.
• Laboratory construction knowledge.
