Senior Communications Manager – Brussels

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join our Communications team in Brussels. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution, overseeing the creation, publication and optimisation of content across our digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a compelling communications strategy that raises awareness and drives membership growth.
• Generate, curate and distribute content for the website, newsletters and social media, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with Policy, Membership and Marketing teams to measure content performance and user engagement.
• Manage the WFA website, including SEO/GEO optimisation, content updates and day‑to‑day maintenance of the CMS.
• Analyse web traffic and engagement metrics to improve visibility, sign‑ups and overall reach.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in communications, journalism or a related field.
• Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in the creative industries and experience working within that sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• SEO and GEO optimisation.
• HTML and web publishing.
• Content management systems (CMS).
• Social media engagement strategies.
• Design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign and Canva.
