Senior CMDB Expert – Hybrid (Brussels)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior CMDB Expert to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a centralized Configuration Management Database for a large‑scale environment in Brussels. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution, working closely with IT and business stakeholders to embed CMDB practices into the organization’s ITSM framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy a centralized CMDB, defining the data model and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and ISO 27001 security standards.
• Manage the CMDB implementation roadmap, coordinating stakeholders, project deliverables, data quality assessments, and gap analyses.
• Redesign Change Management processes to integrate seamlessly with the CMDB, improving asset visibility and impact analysis.
• Drive ITSM/ESM adoption and support digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Oversee data governance and data quality management to maintain accurate and consistent configuration data.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in CMDB design and implementation within large‑scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of ITSM/ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes.
• Proven ability to lead complex IT projects and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and proficient in either Dutch or French.
