Senior CMC Consultant – Pharma & Biotech

About the role

PwC is expanding its Health Industry footprint and seeks a Senior CMC Consultant to join its Advisory team. You will work with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, helping them navigate complex CMC challenges and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CMC projects for pharma/biotech clients, including strategic assessment, recommendation development, and implementation of new operating models.
• Act as PM/PMO for CMC departments, overseeing timelines, budgets, and risk management.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on CMC‑focused initiatives such as supply‑chain optimization, digitalization, regulatory compliance, manufacturing scale‑up, process validation, and technology transfer.
• Contribute to PwC’s CMC Center of Excellence by developing methodologies and best practices.
• Support business development through service offering design, market scanning, and account planning.
• Produce thought‑leadership content, including point‑of‑view papers and blog posts.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, bio‑engineering, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry or consulting with a focus on CMC projects.
• Strong interest in advanced therapies, market trends, and regulatory environments.
• Ability to combine technical knowledge with analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for interaction with senior management.
