Senior CAD Designer – Civil Structures

About the role

You will support the Design Engineer in studying and designing civil engineering structures across all project phases, from feasibility studies to detailed design and execution. The role involves creating 2D drawings and 3D models for bridges, viaducts, tunnels, retaining structures and related works while ensuring BIM consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for civil structures, reinforcement, hydraulic and geotechnical works.
• Prepare design deliverables for tender packages covering bridges, viaducts, railway underpasses, tunnels and technical buildings.
• Coordinate with track, catenary and signalling disciplines to integrate designs within the overall environment.
• Analyse design challenges, propose technical solutions and review third‑party deliverables such as formwork and reinforcement drawings.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for bills of quantities and use AI‑assisted design tools to improve quality and standardisation.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a CAD Designer on civil engineering projects, preferably in the railway sector.
• Technical secondary education diploma in industrial or civil engineering drafting, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and good command of Revit Structures; proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience producing drawings and models for civil works; knowledge of Civil 3D is an asset.
• Fluent in French or Dutch (knowledge of the other language is a plus) and able to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams.
