Senior Business Developer – Lifestyle Insurance

About the role

SPB Benelux is seeking a Senior Business Developer to lead product strategy, market development and partner relationships for its lifestyle insurance portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will work at the intersection of market intelligence, product innovation and commercial execution across Belgium and Luxembourg.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the current product and service portfolio (coverage, pricing, competitiveness) and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and emerging opportunities; translate findings into actionable product improvements.
• Lead the end‑to‑end development of new insurance products, from concept and pricing models to documentation, partner training and compliance sign‑off.
• Collaborate with insurance partners to evaluate and launch new verticals aligned with SPB’s focus areas (mobile, retail, banking, mobility, energy).
• Manage and deepen relationships with strategic partners and key accounts, participating in governance committees and KPI reviews.
• Prepare and co‑lead senior‑level client meetings, delivering proposals and presentations.
• Support the Commercial Director in RFP responses and new‑business pitches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or commercial strategy within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong market analysis skills and ability to anticipate regulatory impacts.
• Demonstrated autonomy, strategic thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for C‑suite audiences.
