Senior Business Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Controller for a Belgian entity of a global manufacturing group located in the port of Ghent. The role combines financial reporting, budgeting and strategic decision‑making in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth analyses of P&L, ROCE and risk management for specific market segments, identifying trends and growth potential.
• Translate financial data into clear reports and presentations, delivering strategic insights and recommendations.
• Optimize working capital and monitor key risks related to accumulated positions and essential raw materials.
• Manage the planning process, including periodic forecasts, annual budgeting and strategic planning up to the EBIT level.
• Contribute to major investment projects such as CAPEX and M&A by providing financial expertise.
• Collaborate with the Reporting Factory to enhance reporting and analysis tools, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Act as a strong business partner, supporting market segments and facilitating strategic decisions with financial insights.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
• At least 4 years of finance experience, preferably as a controller or business partner.
• Strong analytical ability to turn financial data into strategic insights.
• Fluent Dutch, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a similar ERP system.
