Senior Accountant – €6k Gross + Full Benefits, Path to Head of Accounting

About the role

We are a leading tourism operator active across Europe and are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take charge of the accounting for several European subsidiaries. This role offers a clear career path towards becoming Head of Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with local accounting firms in multiple countries.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns in collaboration with local partners.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Support the improvement of internal procedures, draft guidelines and drive automation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits.

Required profile

• Degree (bachelor or master) in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of VAT reporting.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ability to develop and implement internal control procedures.
• Audit liaison experience.
