Security Expert

About the role

BNP Paribas Fortis is looking for a Security Expert to join its Security Center of Expertise. You will work with IT and development teams to protect the bank’s applications and infrastructure, tackling real‑world cybersecurity challenges in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Coach development teams to embed security early in the software lifecycle, covering secure coding, threat modeling and security‑by‑design.
• Design, implement and manage a DevSecOps toolchain that automates security testing for code reviews, open‑source dependencies and containerised environments.
• Conduct vulnerability hunting using static and dynamic analysis tools, prioritize findings and collaborate with developers to remediate issues.
• Define and maintain security policies and configurations to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements while ensuring operational efficiency.
• Provide actionable security insights and reports to stakeholders, translating technical data into strategic recommendations.
• Monitor emerging threats, tools and techniques, and develop training material to up‑skill teams.

Required profile

• Engineer or technically skilled professional with a strong passion for cybersecurity.
• Experience working in a fast‑evolving environment, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Ability to collaborate across development, DevOps and leadership teams to drive a shared security culture.
