SCADA Engineer – Renewable Energy O&M

About the role
ENGIE is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support the operation and performance of its growing wind and solar portfolio in Belgium and the Netherlands. The role sits within the Renewable & Flex Power Business Unit, reporting to the Operations and Performance Manager BE/NL, and combines OT/SCADA expertise with data‑driven performance optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end SCADA landscape for wind and solar assets, ensuring reliable monitoring and data quality.
- Support commissioning of new projects, including testing, validation and hand‑over processes.
- Design, implement and maintain interfaces and data integrations (OPC, IEC, APIs) with a focus on clarity and efficiency.
- Participate in incident analysis, troubleshooting and root‑cause resolution to prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives within SCADA and automation.
- Develop and enhance monitoring and data‑analysis solutions to aid decision‑making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with SCADA/OT systems in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong analytical mindset and interest in performance optimisation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
