Real World Evidence Consultant – Waterloo, Belgium

About the role

Alsinova is seeking experienced Real World Evidence (RWE) consultants to support pharmaceutical and biotech clients in Belgium. You will work on observational studies, health‑outcome analyses and statistical programming tasks, helping clients turn large healthcare datasets into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Support statistical programming activities for RWE projects using SAS.
• Provide input on study design, analysis plans and protocol development.
• Review study concepts, protocols and related documentation.
• Assess and ensure the quality of large healthcare databases.
• Develop, validate, maintain and document analysis programs, tables, charts and metadata.
• Produce statistical outputs efficiently and in line with standard practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAS programming experience.
• 2+ years in Real World Evidence, epidemiology or health‑outcomes research.
• 2+ years working with large healthcare databases such as CPRD or IBM MarketScan.
• Strong understanding of study design, observational endpoints and drug‑development processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• SAS (advanced statistical programming).
• R (knowledge is a plus).
• Propensity‑score matching or other matching algorithms.
• Familiarity with Clinical Practice Research Database (CPRD).
• Familiarity with IBM MarketScan database.
