Quality Assurance and Control Manager

About the role

As the Quality Assurance & Control Manager at Nuverta, you will maintain and continuously improve the company’s quality management system, ensuring that pea‑protein and pea‑starch products consistently meet the highest food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve the FSSC 22000‑certified quality system.
• Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards.
• Manage audits from certification bodies, customers, and authorities.
• Analyze quality data, complaints and non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to quality and food safety.
• Collaborate closely with production, operations, R&D, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Drive a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
• Support customer requests, specifications and documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Bioengineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety within the food or ingredient industry.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety management systems (FSSC 22000 & HACCP).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Hands‑on mentality and willingness to work in a growing scale‑up environment.
• Fluent in French and English.
