QC Technician – Pharmaceutical Quality Control

About the role

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a motivated QC Technician to perform analytical testing on biopharmaceutical products. You will work in a GMP‑compliant laboratory, supporting drug substance, drug product, and finished‑goods release as well as stability and clinical study analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Execute QC analytical methods (HPLC, UPLC, CE, UV, ELISA, electrophoresis, bioassays, DNA threshold, IPC) on drug substances, products and clinical samples.
• Manage column inventory, receive samples, reagents and consumables, and maintain laboratory readiness.
• Participate in method feasibility studies, internal and external method transfers, and ensure accurate data entry in LIMS.
• Perform peer review of analytical results, archive raw data, notebooks and logbooks according to SOPs.
• Support equipment lifecycle activities including purchasing requests, qualifications, calibrations and preventive maintenance.
• Identify, document and investigate OOS, deviations and anomalies, and drive CAPA implementation.
• Maintain laboratory safety, report incidents and contribute to continuous improvement of safety and processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in life sciences or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and the V‑cycle.
• Autonomous, conscientious and proactive problem‑solver.
• Fluent in French and English.
