Purchasing Manager – Centralized Procurement Strategy

About the role

Delta Engineering, the European market leader in automation for the blow‑molding industry, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to professionalise and centralise its procurement function across Belgium and Romania.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a centralized procurement strategy tailored to the needs of the Belgian and Romanian sites.
• Analyse existing purchasing processes and goods flows, adjusting them to ensure smooth internal operations.
• Conduct price negotiations, select strategic suppliers and optimise the international supplier network.
• Monitor delivery schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels to support timely machine delivery.
• Lead the procurement team and collaborate closely with Engineering, Production and Warehouse departments.
• Perform financial analyses, track market prices and drive complex procurement projects.
• Manage internal and external communication related to the procurement process.

Required profile

• Technical background with strong affinity for electronics and mechanics.
• Extensive experience as a buyer in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Analytical, results‑oriented and commercially persuasive.
• Excellent communication and networking skills, able to interact at all organisational levels.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver who works both independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.
