Project Manager

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering and construction projects in Mons, Belgium. The role involves overseeing project delivery across sectors such as data centres, advanced technology, life sciences, and fire protection, ensuring safety, quality and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and manage project risks through regular risk review meetings.
• Meet KPI targets covering financial metrics, cash management, health & safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Oversee profit & loss, monitor financial performance and contribute to monthly operating reports.
• Ensure compliance with Mercury Engineering standards for culture, safety, quality, environment, security and integrity.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, site logistics, schedules, labour histograms, cost and budget plans.
• Review, sign‑off and enforce project quality and EHS management plans.
• Lead and motivate construction and engineering teams, manage subcontractor selection and procurement schedules.
• Chair weekly internal, supplier and subcontractor meetings and report project performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex engineering or construction projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solid understanding of financial control, KPI monitoring and risk management.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
