Project Leader – Substations

About the role

The Project Leader – Substations will head service projects for high‑voltage substations (380, 220, 150, 70 and 36 kV) within the infrastructure projects department. The role covers the full project lifecycle from definition to administrative closure and is based in Brussels with a hybrid work model (2 days onsite per week).

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project definition, study, design and ensure successful implementation and closure.
• Conduct technical studies, calculations, budgeting and planning while managing available resources and client requirements.
• Develop tender documentation and support the procurement process.
• Direct and coordinate on‑site execution in collaboration with client groups, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Communicate progress, produce reports and maintain documentation throughout the project.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electromechanics or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in technology and the energy sector.
• Experience in project management or site follow‑up is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch (perfect knowledge); French is an important asset.
• Strong sense of responsibility, assertive communication and customer‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of high‑voltage substation systems.
• Ability to perform electrical calculations and develop budgets and schedules.
• Competence in preparing tender files and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in Dutch (and French as an asset).
