Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering & Technology team in Brugge, Belgium. You will be responsible for turning sales concepts into detailed engineering designs that become the backbone of each water, wastewater, or biogas project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop basic designs for wastewater, water treatment, and biogas upgrade/reuse systems.
• Prepare core engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, engineering lists, books, and functional descriptions.
• Act as the single point of contact between the project manager and detailed engineering teams covering civil, piping, electrical, and mechanical design.
• Lead the project engineering team to ensure timely delivery of documents that meet company standards.
• Identify potential cost or technology improvements and communicate them to the team.
• Provide technical support to other departments and end‑users when required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and experienced project or process engineer.
• Practical knowledge of industrial installations is a plus.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, biogas, or green energy from waste is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional European languages (Dutch, French, Spanish) are a strong plus.
• Effective communicator with cross‑functional and multicultural teams.
