Project Engineer – Environmental Projects

About the role

Join Mondelēz International’s Namur process cheese plant as a Project Engineer focused on environmental initiatives. You will plan, develop and execute capital projects that improve water, waste and energy performance while ensuring compliance with food‑industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, budget and deliver capital and technical agendas for environmental projects.
• Manage design, planning and execution of wastewater station renewal, water‑treatment upgrades and chlorine‑reduction processes.
• Lead energy‑related studies and installations such as solar panels, heat pumps and water‑usage optimisation.
• Ensure all projects meet Mondelēz quality, safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to harmonise assets and roll out best practices.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with experience in infrastructure and utilities.
• Senior‑level technical expertise across engineering disciplines.
• Proven project‑management skills in cross‑functional environments.
• Experience with environmental projects in the food industry is a plus.
