Programme Management Intern – Disaster Risk Reduction Financing & Risk Knowledge

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is seeking a Programme Management Intern to support its Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia in Brussels. The intern will assist in advancing the UNDRR Strategic Framework (2026-2030) focusing on risk knowledge and financing for disaster risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop knowledge products such as reports, policy briefs, and presentations for expert and non‑expert audiences.
• Assist with data management, analysis, and the creation of risk maps for selected countries.
• Support the organization of trainings, webinars, and seminars.
• Contribute to evidence‑based advocacy and communication materials on DRR financing and MSME resilience.
• Explore innovative tools and solutions for disaster risk reduction.
• Participate in activities under the Early Warning for All initiative.
• Monitor implementation progress of the Sendai Framework.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or the final year of a bachelor's degree.
• Relevant field of study such as disaster management, climate and sustainability, development studies, international relations, or data analytics.
