Procurement Officer (Reserve List)

About the role

The NATO International Staff is establishing a reserve list for Procurement Officers. The successful candidate will support the Procurement Service in managing the acquisition of goods and services required for the operation of NATO Headquarters in Brussels, ensuring compliance with NATO’s financial and procurement regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies and source‑selection plans in line with organisational goals.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, from planning and solicitation to contract award and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate stakeholder events such as requirements workshops, pre‑solicitation and bidders’ conferences.
• Maintain and distribute procurement documentation and information in a timely manner.
• Monitor benefit realization and address customer‑service issues across the organisation.

Required profile

• University degree in commerce, economics, law, engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years of procurement and contracting experience, preferably in indirect or public‑sector procurement.
• Advanced proficiency in one NATO official language (English or French) and intermediate proficiency in the other.

Required skills

• Strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation expertise.
• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite, e‑sourcing and e‑procurement platforms.
• Familiarity with contract management systems.
