Process Engineer – New Manufacturing Technologies

About the role

Atlas Copco Group is looking for a Mechanical or Process Engineer who is passionate about cutting‑edge manufacturing technologies. Based in Wilrijk, you will join the Airtec division’s prototyping team to develop and optimise manufacturing solutions ranging from conventional CNC machining to additive manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Scout, benchmark and install new manufacturing equipment, including CNC and 3D‑printing machines.
• Manage the full process lifecycle: commissioning, optimisation, quality control and data acquisition.
• Support operators with technical challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate CAD/CAM workflows and ensure short lead times and high‑quality output.
• Maintain the prototyping shop’s operational efficiency in a hybrid work environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of conventional machining and/or additive manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with quality‑management principles.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
• Hands‑on, creative thinker with a cost‑conscious and innovative mindset.
