Process Engineer – Life Sciences (Flanders)

About the role

ALTEN Belgium is seeking a Process Engineer to support a key pharmaceutical client in Flanders. The role focuses on delivering CAPEX projects that cover preprocessing, compounding, formulation and aseptic filling, ensuring equipment is commissioned and qualified on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects for preprocessing, compounding, formulation and aseptic filling.
• Develop business cases, source suppliers, manage equipment ordering and conduct design reviews.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning and IQ/OQ/PQ testing to guarantee timely start‑up.
• Control project budgets and schedules across multiple departments.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for preprocessing, compounding and filling processes, identifying improvement opportunities and evaluating new technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years managing CAPEX projects in a regulated, preferably pharmaceutical, environment.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
