Privacy Counsel – Full‑Time Remote

About the role

VeraSafe is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join its fully remote team. This position offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge privacy and data‑protection matters for a growing portfolio of technology‑focused clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on privacy compliance, including GDPR, CCPA and other data‑protection regulations.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy policies, data‑processing agreements, and related contracts.
• Collaborate with project managers and consultants to deliver timely, high‑quality legal services.
• Support client onboarding, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
• Stay current on evolving privacy laws and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
• Bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, collaborative team.
• Willingness to complete a 1‑3 hour skills assessment as part of the recruitment process.
