Press Relations Specialist

About the role

Orange Belgium is looking for a Press Relations Specialist to become the voice that shapes the company’s story in French‑language media. You will drive external communications, manage media relationships and support senior executives in building a strong public image.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for media inquiries and nurture relationships with journalists, editors and influencers.
• Draft, edit and translate press releases, statements, speeches and briefing documents.
• Identify newsworthy topics, pitch stories, and support executive visibility and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Monitor media coverage, analyse public sentiment and prepare reports, including crisis‑communication support.
• Organise press conferences, briefings, interviews and media events, coordinating with external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies and other external parties to maximise communication opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing or a related field.
• Several years of experience in media relations, journalism, corporate communications or public affairs.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced corporate, agency or media environments.
• Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of the Belgian media landscape.
• Excellent command of French and English; Dutch is a plus.
