Press Operator

About the role

Kennametal is seeking a reliable Press Operator to run multiple CNC carbide presses (Osterwalder, Dorst, or PCT) on a night shift in Rogers, AR. The role focuses on producing high‑quality parts to blueprint specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC carbide presses, including computer‑controlled setup and program adjustments.
• Load and unload trays, gauge parts, and verify visual characteristics.
• Select and weigh tungsten powder for pressing green parts.
• Separate scrap from good parts, document production data in the Mii system, and maintain tooling.
• Perform quality checks according to the inspection plan and verify powder lot and tooling matches the production order.
• Troubleshoot moderate to complex equipment issues and train new operators as needed.
• Communicate safety, quality, and production issues across shifts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (technical degree preferred).
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with CNC or PLC machine controls is preferred.
• Ability to stand 8‑10 hours, lift up to 33 lb, and work in a dust‑controlled environment.
• Commitment to safety procedures and reliable attendance.
