Policy Communications Manager – EU Digital Policies

About the role

Amazon is looking for a senior strategic communications leader to shape and deliver policy‑focused communication programmes across Europe. Based in Brussels, you will work closely with AWS leadership, public‑policy teams and business units to protect and enhance Amazon’s reputation on digital policy matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive communications campaigns that align with Amazon’s European policy objectives.
• Lead EU policy communications workstreams related to digital policies, advising AWS leadership.
• Coordinate with AWS Country Communications Managers to create country‑specific policy communication strategies.
• Produce and oversee content and assets for integrated campaigns, including agency deliverables.
• Act as an Amazon spokesperson for policy‑related media inquiries.
• Build and maintain relationships with policy journalists, trade associations, researchers and think‑tanks.
• Assess communication strategies, analyse performance data and provide optimisation recommendations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level communications or journalism experience.
• Deep understanding of the EU media and policy landscape.
• Proven track record of designing and executing policy communications campaigns.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and advise senior leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written English; fluency in additional European languages is a plus.
