Plant Manager - PP/PE Extrusion

About the role

Our client, a leading Belgian player in advanced plastics recycling, is looking for a Plant Manager to lead its PP/PE regeneration plant. You will be fully responsible for the end‑to‑end production cycle and for a multidisciplinary team of 25‑30 staff, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with industry certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete PP/PE regeneration flow from raw material intake through extrusion, quality control and delivery of certified product.
• Lead, coach and develop a team covering production, maintenance, laboratory and R&D, handling hiring, onboarding and performance management.
• Set up, fine‑tune and expand extrusion installations, drive process optimisation, CAPEX projects and continuous improvement together with the Operational Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with proven experience in plastics regeneration (PP or PE) and hands‑on extrusion technology.
• Strong track record managing production operations and teams of 25‑30 people across multiple functions.
• Solid knowledge of quality management systems and maintaining certifications such as CERTIPLAST and ISO 9001, fluency in Flemish and good command of English.
