Operations Specialist

About the role

Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC), branded as Lloyd’s Europe, is seeking an Operations Specialist to join its team in either Brussels or London. You will own end‑to‑end operational processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance while acting as the primary contact for all process‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support Managing Agents in executing LIC’s Operating Model.
• Perform portfolio analysis and operational controls across the LIC portfolio.
• Draft, standardise, maintain and optimise Standard Operating Procedures.
• Escalate and analyse exceptional or non‑standard scenarios.
• Serve as trainer and referral point for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) supplier.
• Collaborate with Managing Agents to monitor and improve operational performance.
• Work with Services & Technology suppliers to define requirements, test deliverables and drive improvements.
• Monitor KPIs, KRIs and SLAs, escalating issues that impact performance.
• Identify and suggest continuous‑improvement changes to systems, procedures and practices.
• Provide technical expertise to projects and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in operations functions or similar roles that operate in a controlled environment.
• Background in (re)insurance operations or related sectors.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end processes and work with offshore teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Process‑management expertise.
• Knowledge of operational controls, SOPs and KPI monitoring.
• Experience collaborating with BPO suppliers and technology vendors.
