Onsite IT Support Specialist – Jumet & Zaventem

About the role

As an Onsite IT Support Specialist for Hitachi Energy, you will be the local face of IT for the Jumet and Zaventem sites, providing day‑to‑day technical assistance to office and industrial users. You will work closely with local teams and collaborate with regional and global IT colleagues across Europe, travelling regularly between the two locations and occasionally to France and the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite support for Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, peripherals and network connectivity.
• Maintain and troubleshoot meeting‑room AV equipment, collaboration tools and shared workplace services.
• Manage IT assets, keep inventory records up‑to‑date and ensure CMDB data accuracy.
• Coordinate logistics for equipment deployment, transfers, returns and lifecycle activities.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding by preparing devices and workplace equipment.
• Liaise with vendors and external technicians to resolve hardware and warranty issues.
• Identify service‑improvement opportunities and follow IT processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support, field services or deskside support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, peripherals and basic networking.
• Experience with IT asset management, inventory logistics or CMDB administration.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites and manage priorities.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
