Offshore Construction Manager

About the role

The Offshore Construction Manager reports to the Offshore Works Lead and leads a team of site representatives and discipline engineers. The role ensures safe, high‑quality execution of offshore civil and marine construction activities while coordinating closely with the EPC contractor and project owner.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements using a risk‑based approach.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities with support from dedicated QC resources.
• Track construction progress, prepare regular reports and manage offshore staffing plans.
• Review construction methodologies, work procedures, risk assessments and execution plans.
• Identify project risks and opportunities, develop mitigation measures and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary site interface for daily construction matters between the owner and EPC contractor.
• Coordinate with offshore discipline engineers and onshore specialists across civil, marine, project management, HSE, quality and contract management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, preferably in large‑scale civil engineering projects.
• Strong background in offshore construction, reinforced concrete structures, rock placement and marine infrastructure.
• Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
• Offshore medical certification, BOSIET (or equivalent) and boat transfer training.
